SARZANA - MARINELLA: STILL WAITING FOR A bike path FUNCTIONAL
The bike path should join the downtown district of Marinella, thus allowing the emphasis on a transport system that combines many positive, such as relieving congestion of traffic and less pollution; also falls to the guidelines of the new parking plan that aims, among other things, to reduce traffic from the historic center, focusing on alternative systems and decentralized parking. The far-off spring and summer, some already passed, would have been the best times to finally make accessible the bike path and then enable the "takeoff" of this system alternative mobility.
Instead, the situation remains in the usual conditions reported and there is no hope of seeing the completed several sections missing. The track remains one-sided and incomplete. Indeed, we also note some deterioration: the "pawns of rubber" are now all uprooted and lying in the middle of the cycle path, with the additional risk to those who follow this trail. Moreover, where there is no protection of wood, it is difficult to correctly identify the "faded" delimitation of the track at night in the absence of street lighting and daylight hours for the hot summer sun.
The creation of bicycle lanes reduced the carriageway and the lack of a path from Sarzana Marinella, leads many cyclists use the roadway, further reducing the width of the roadway for use by cars, with danger for their safety.
